Trumpeter Swans on Magness Lake, near Heber Springs, Arkansas, Sunday February 18, 2007. These swans have migrated to this lake since 1992. Most come from Minnesota and Wisconsin, and this is the fartherest south they migrate in the U.S. They arrive in early January and leave at the end of Februrary or early March. There are about 125 in all. All photos by Ken Ziegenbein.
