Amtrak station (Union Station) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Might as well
have been in the Carolinas since Norfolk Southern was the locomotive of
choice today. Not too many trains. Included today: NS 9035, 6648,
9199, 8818 *** CEFX 3164 *** Rolling stock: Berlin (?) Mills box,
A&NR box, Rock Island box, Golden West boxcars, including one a
rusty brown *** View of the Baring Cross UP Bridge from the west across
the Arkansas River, taken from our new Arkansas Railroad Club monthly
meeting site, Curtis Stout off Cantrell Road.

the Arkansas River off Cantrell Road in Little Rock. The bridge
is the Baring Cross Bridge as viewed from the west. Jenks Shops and the
UP North Little Rock yards are just past the bridge on the left, Union
Station is to the right of the bridge around a sharp right curve. Left
is compass north (North Little Rock), right is compass south (Little
