Pacific's Operation Lifesaver train passes the Central Delta Depot
Museum in Brinkley, Arkansas with another few shots of it across a
green field near Stuttgart later in the day. Also, I ran into "Bullet
Bob" Smith at the Brinkley depot a couple of hours before the
Operation Lifesaver train appeared and we both saw a train pass with
FWWR 1400 in the consist.
I got an email from Jody Moore, who operates a website
dedicated to the genset units built by Railpower, NRE and others. The
site is HERE
< style="font-weight: bold;"> His email: "I
ran across your photo of Fort Worth and Western 1400, and wanted to
first of all congratulate you on your find. FWWR 1400 is the first of
two new NRE 2GS14B genset units. I am surprised by the number, as I was
under the impression that the rebuilt units would be FWWR 1000 and
1001. So much for that theory...>At
any rate, the donor units are FWWR 1500 and 104, both EMD GP7's AFIK.
Included today:
UP4889, UP3875, UP 9506, Conrail 6747,
FWWR 1400. (All photos by Copyright Ken Ziegenbein)

UP's Operation Lifesaver train passes the Central Delta Depot Museum at
3:44 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, heading for Stuttgart, Arkansas.

Going track speed (which I believe is 58 mph through here). UP 3875 was
leading, UP 4889 at the other end of the train.

Crossing US Highway 70.

Looking acrosss US Highway 79 at the stopped train, just outside of
Stuttgart, Arkansas at 5:55 p.m. I'm planning on riding it the next
day.

Nice view across a green field. Almost 3 inches of rain fell in this
area the day before.

Zoomed in a little.

Back a little earlier at Brinkley, CR6747 passes the station at 1:52
p.m. Bob Smith was viewing it from near the depot.

Nice shiny, clean FWWR 1400.

Mr. Smith goes to Brinkley I assume?

A rare northbound is lined up at 2:50 p.m. May 16 at Brinkley.

UP 9506 comes though northbound at 3:00 p.m. at track speed.
