LEFT-UP painted these SD40-2's for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics in 1996. It is seen here outside Little Rock, Arkansas in 1996, speeding by about 60 mph thus the blur(. One unit was numberd 1996, but according to posts on Trainorders.com, they were quickly repainted UP yellow again.  Another post from Trainorders.com:  One was: UP 8046 to UP 3316 to *UP 1896* to UP 3100 to UP 3097
the other: UP 3339 to UP B3339 back to UP 3339 to *UP 1996* to UP 3101 to UP 3098 (the current number on the unit). RIGHT-The end of the special Olympic train. The Olympics were the Summer Olympics in Atlanta. These photos were in a shoebox for years. I scanned the original negatives. These were taken by me, Ken Ziegenbein.
