FRIDAY,
MAY 21 - Fort Kearny, Nebraska and Boot Hill in Ogallala, Nebraska.
SATURDAY,
MAY 22 - California Hill wagon ruts made by Oregon Trail riders
in the mid 1800s. This site is located off Highway 26 northwest of
Ogallala, Nebraska. Plus scenes of the famous Chimney Rock and first Union
Pacific train robbery in 1877.
SUNDAY,
MAY 23 - No photos taken today. We spend the day traveling
to Lewistown, Montana.
MONDAY,
MAY 24 - Special dinner train ride between Lewistown,
Montana and Moccasin, Montana. Includes some colorful sunset photos.
TUESDAY,
MAY 25 - Special train ride over a seldom used railroad track between
Lewistown and Geraldine, Montana, including some very mountainous terrain
and high trestles.
WEDNESDAY,
MAY 26 - Northwest of Lewistown, Montana snow scenes; Ulm Pishkun
Buffalo Jump site; downtown Ulm, Montana.
THURSDAY,
MAY 27 - Livingston, Montana to Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone
National Park. Includes buffalo and other animal shots and photos and
one MPEG sound movie of the Old Faithful Geyser eruption.
FRIDAY,
MAY 28 - Drove from Old Faithful to West Thumb Geyser Basin and Lake
Village. Photos include Yellowstone Lake and a herd of elk walking in front
of Old Faithful.
SATURDAY,
MAY 29 - Snow in Yellowstone!! Lots of snow today between
Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone. Also a photo of a
baby buffalo and some Sandhill Cranes and Elk.
SUNDAY,
MAY 30 - Lamar Valley in Yellowstone and Mammoth Hot Springs
Resort.
MONDAY,
MAY 31 - Pompey's Pillar, Montana, where the only known signature
of William Clark, of Lewis and Clark fame, is located on the pillar. He signed
his name on July 25, 1806.
TUESDAY,
JUNE 1 - Fort Laramie, Wyoming historic site, a stop for the Pony
Express and Oregon Trail riders; Chimney Rock; Windlass Hill in Nebraska
with a beautiful sunset.
WEDNESDAY,
JUNE 2 - O'Fallon's Bluff Oregon Trail site in western Nebraska;
Lincoln County Museum in North Platte, Nebraska including the North Platte
Canteen memorial; Pony Express site at Gothenberg, Nebraska.
THURSDAY,
JUNE 3 - Rock Creek Pony Express Station in south Nebraska; the Rope
Ferry at Marysville, Kansas and the Hollenberg Pony Exprss Station and
site in Kansas.
