Couldn't make it to Union Station in
Little Rock this morning (Sunday, May 14, 2006) but did manage to get
there in the late afternoon and got a couple of trains. I also put in
two trains I photoghraphed on Saturday, May 13, at Brinkley.
Included on both Saturday and Sunday: UP: 3865, 5495, 4118, 5296,
1865 *** GATX 7321 *** CSX 7373, 8542 *** MKT red gondola 16334 ***
gray IC boxcar with graffiti *** a line of new hoppers.

LEFT-UP 3865, 6:04 p.m. May 14, 2006. RIGHT-GATX 7321.


LEFT-Unknown 2-year-old boy with his grandmother. He was thrilled that
the steam engine is coming to town on May 24-26 (UP 844). (I blanked out the lady's face for

LEFT-Red MKT gondola No. 16334. RIGHT-Nice to see one of the Katy
freight cars anytime I can. No telling, but I'm sure this must have
passed through my hometown in Texas (New Ulm) during the 1960s.


LEFT-A lone remnant from the past among a modern crowd.
RIGHT-Several of these rail-box cars had their doors open with the
straps through the door, I guess to keep transients off.

13, 2006 in Brinkley, Arkansas. UP 1865, 2:33 p.m., a rare northbound.


LEFT-CSX 7373, 2:42 p.m. The previous train had taken the siding in
