Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Little Rock, Arkansas. Included today: UP 9286, 4698, 5251 *** TFM 2648 *** BNSF 5326 *** NS 9290 *** log cars.
I'll be heading to Salt Lake City this week for the famous UP Heritage Locomotive Shootout on June 30, driving through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska (including North Platte, home of Bailey Yard), Wyoming (probably visiting the steam shops and roundhouse, although I know the crew are on that trip with 844 through Missouri and Iowa this week) and Utah. The trip will also be a rail-photo trip, especially through Nebraska. I'll post the shots of the 6 Heritage units next week, and may post some photos along the way (I'll state 'OUT OF AREA' in the header after I leave Oklahoma so there'll be no question that it's not in Railspot territory, but I figure many would like to see the Katy and MoPac units in Utah even if they are way out of the area).
You can always see all my photos of trains, in and out of Railspot territory, by visiting:
