Sunday,
June 22, 2003 at Union Station in Little Rock, plus some scenes from the
other side of the tracks giving a different perspective (no, I didn't walk
across the tracks, but drove there). The state capitol can be seen
in some photos. Since all these shots were taken from public property and
without getting on UP property, I might do more of those wide angle views
from the north site. Got a loaded coal train from the highway bridge.
Also shown is Amtrak 21, about 2 hours late.

The Texas Eagle had to back into the siding today due to an out of order
switch on the north end of the terminal. It arrived at 729 a.m., left at
737 a.m. I got another one of my flower shots while sitting on the ground.
This train appeared to be very clean.
LEFT-UP4614 waits to depart at 741 am. RIGHT-NS9764.
Closeup of NS's speeding horse.
UP5966, 940 am.
UP5631, 950 am, from steps of station.
LEFT-View from old road, now a bike path, north of the tracks. You can see
the state capitol in center of pictures and Union Station on the right. RIGHT-UP7504
coming off Baring Cross bridge around the curve, southbound, at 1044 am.
View of northbound train with UP4546 at 1055 am.
Southbound coal train at 1102 am coming off the Baring Cross bridge about
to make a sharp right turn (engine view) past Union Station. This was
taken from the Cantrell Street highway bridge, which has a bike/walking path
on it.
Looking down on a load of coal. The trailing unit's exhaust almost blew the
camera out of my hands when it passed under the bridge.
A northbound at 121 pm.
Sitting dark waiting for a crew at 123 pm just south of Union Station.
