Sunday, June 5, 2005 at Union Station,
Little Rock. Includes some Sony 'Nightshot' photos at 4 a.m. of passing
trains and a group of Texas Eagle Marketing and Performance
Organization (T.E.M.P.O.) passengers who were catching Amtrak's Texas
Eagle, No. 21, heading back to Texas. Also included are some colorful
sunrise/train photos. Locomotives today: UP-(4086, 3453, 9141, 9371,
8318, 8503); BNSF 5091; CSX 8318. Plus two red MKT gondolas.

Passengers waiting for Amtrak's Texas
Eagle No. 21 about 4:15 a.m. June 5. These photos were taken by my Sony
Cybershot using its 'nightshot' setting (not sure how that works, but
it allows you to see in the dark - infrared?) Years ago, this setting
used during the daytime in bright light would allow the camera to 'see'
through clothes since it made the clothes so bright, they'd
'disappear'. However, newer cameras, like mine, don't allow the
'nightshot' switch to work (turns the camera off) if you try
using it in the daytime. Look how bright the inside of the Amtrak
station is.

About 4:30 a.m.

Texas Eagle arriving about 5:20 a.m. It was delayed out of Walnut
Ridge. However, it made it to Dallas and Fort Worth early.

Sunrise colors about 5:40 a.m.

UP 8318, 7:30 a.m.

UP 4086, 8:31 a.m.

UP 3453, 10:00 a.m. There was an hour and a half period with no
activity.

Two red MKT gondolas, getting more rare every day. Guess these could
be 50 years old.
