HOT SPRINGS, GLENWOOD & WESTERN

Chartered April 16, 1910. Rails taken up in 1926. It was used by the Memphis, Paris & Gulf for trackage rights to Hot Springs from Glenwood.






One mile northwest of Pearcy, Arkansas. The top one is looking southwest and the one with the road is looking northeast. October 26, 1974 at 2:30 p.m.


One-half mile north of Crossroads, Arkansas, which is south of Pearcy, looking south. October 26, 1974 at 2:55 p.m.




One and 1/2 miles northwest of Welsh, Arkansas (south of Pearcy). The one above is looking southwest and the photo above that is looking to the northeast. The one above shows the old roadbed the best (rails were taken up in 1926, nearly 50 years before this photo was made on October 26, 1974).


Not sure if this was the Hot Springs, Glenwood & Western's roadbed or not. It was taken at Glenwood, Arkansas looking to the southwest as you are approaching the city. Taken October 26, 1974 at 4:05 p.m.
