Empty rock/slot train southbound passing Union Station in Little Rock Monday afternoon, February 4, 2008 headed by UPY 1336 and 1373. The articulated train had GREX 3410 as the first section followed by other GREX sections and then a long string of empty gondolas. The words 'Slot Machine' was on the GREX cars. There's also a shot of a speeding UP southbound train crossing Arkansas Highway 17 (in southeast Arknasas about 30 minutes south of Brinkley) just before dawn on Saturday, February 2. I was on my way to the White River National Wildlife Refuge near St. Charles, Arkansas to photograph birds and saw and photographed a flock of thousands of Snowgeese, which are all over this area in the winter (I have a separate link to these photos on the train webpage if anyone is interested). Union Pacific's main directional south line runs through this refuge.

A fast UP train crosses Arkansas Highway 17 between Brinkley and St. Charles, Arkansas just before dawn on Saturday, February 2, 2008. I was on my way to photograph birds in the White River National Wildlife Refuge, and saw thousands of Snowgeese and other birds. LEFT-Now it's Sunday, February 3 at the south end of Union Station in Little Rock. UP 4949 heads northbound at 9:32 a.m. RIGHT-MKT red gondola 16156.

LEFT-MKT red gondola 16298. RIGHT-Renewable Products Marketing Group tank cars. Are these cars calling environmentally 'green' products? All appeared to be new. They carry TILX reportiong marks.
