Kiamichi Railroad Nos. 901 and 1003 through Ashdown, Arkansas, Thursday, February 21, 2002.
After delivering their cars, two Kiamichi locomotives cross over the KCS heading east to their home office in Ashdown.
Parked at Kiamichi's home office in Ashdown, Feb 21.
Empty KCS coal train northbound through Ashdown about 3 p.m. It had BNSF
No. 8911 on the lead, followed by a KCS, BNSF, KCS units (didn't get the
other three numbers)
More of KCS empty coal train, plus the old Wilton, Arkansas KCS (?) depot in Wilton.
LEFT-Another view of Wilton depot, now used as residence. RIGHT-Memphis,
Paris & Gulf depot (later Graysonia, Nashville & Ashdown), on its'
original location, has been renovated and is now the Ashdown Chamber of Commerce
office.
Memphis, Paris & Gulf sign on the restored depot. The red marks on the
ties on the former GN&A (now KCS) line are, I assume, meant to indicate
they need replacement.
