On Monday, December 27, 2004, I went briefly to Union Station in Little Rock, Arkansas and got two trains with a mixture of BNSF, NS, UP and Conrail units. The freight headed by the Conrail unit had two UP work cars on the end (UP 3645 and 15082) - a modern day 'mixed train' you might say. You can see snow on the ground still, although it was up to 40 degrees while I was there. (Ken Ziegenbein)

The little pond we call 'Lake Zee" was still frozen solid after 5 days of cold weather.

Conrail 8354, 12:25 p.m., heads the 'mixed' train with 6 units.

UP 2461 and 239 were numbers 5 and 6 of the 6-unit power.

UP work cars 3645 and 15082 were at the end of this long freight - a modern day 'mixed."
