Friday,
April 30, 2004 - Part of the Union Pacific display at the North Little Rock
Centennial celebration close to Main Street. This rail line used to cross
the Arkansas River into Little Rock on the Junction Bridge. This bridge and
much of the line on either side was given to the cities of Little Rock and
North Little Rock officially on December 28, 2001. Much of the track has
been taken up but the bridge remains.
UPY 940 with the new streetcar carbarn to the right, taken from the east side of the tracks.
UP-X 251 wrecker and service cars. The Junction Bridge is about a half mile to your right.
UP/MP 3646 car that travels with the wrecker (I assume). These were here,
but as far as I could tell, were not part of the display. Only locomotive
940 was.
MP 15082 formar baggage car.
Closeup of the cars.
Wide view of the tracks and carbarn.
