This site contains pictures of our Alaska Princess trip taken with my Sony Mavica digital camera.  This first page is rather large, but I used the email setting on the digital camera so each individual picture is only 9-10 mb for faster downloading (at the same time, I got higher resolution photos of the same scene, which are much better for printing - let me know if you need the higher resolution photos). Each day will have its own individual link at the top of this first page and the top and bottom of  each other page as well. This is  to prevent any individual page from getting too large or  cumbersome to view. Hope you enjoy the "real-time" photos, which were uploaded each night I could get a phone line. All these pictures were taken May 28, 2000 while onboard the Princess "Midnight Sun Express" cars, being pulled by the regular Alaska Railroad passenger train under contract. The photos were taken between Anchorage and Denali Park. The ones with lots of snow cover were taken near Summit, which is on the Continental Divide, elevation 2,363 feet. It started out clear, but when the train got close to Denali, it clouded up rapidly and began to rain. Temperature at Anchorage was 60 degrees when the train left at 815 a.m., but fell to 42 at Denali in the rain when the train got there about 4 p.m. (NEXT PAGE)
