All these pictures were taken May 28, 2000
while onboard the Princess "Midnight Sun Express" cars, being pulled by
the regular Alaska Railroad passenger train under contract. The photos
were taken between Anchorage and Denali Park. The ones with lots of snow
cover were taken near Summit, which is on the Continental Divide, elevation
2,363 feet. It started out clear, but when the train got close to Denali,
it clouded up rapidly and began to rain. Temperature at Anchorage was 60
degrees when the train left at 815 a.m., but fell to 42 at Denali in the
rain when the train got there about 4 p.m. (NEXT
