KCS Coal train southbound through Ashdown, Arkansas at 441 pm Thursday, December 11, 2003.  KCS #2008 was in the lead. Plus a shot of the recently moved (last summer) former SSW caboose/'Drover' car to the GNA depot in Ashdown.

The old Cotton Belt caboose had been in a vacant field and was formerlly used as a bait shop north of Ashdown, Arkansas off Highway  71. It was moved here in the summer of 2003. I had photographed it in the woods in February 2002 and you can find those photos at  http://www.trainweather.com/drover.html
. Talking to a lady in the GNA depot/museum, she said they plan to start renovation of the wooden caboose this winter. The tracks in the front used to belong to the Grasonia, Nashville and A RR, but now is owned by the KCS.
