Here are four photos of part of the Idaho Northern & Pacific rare-mileage
trip we'll be taking August 8. These were taken August 6, 2003 from Highway
55 on my way to McCall for the night. All scenes were north of Horseshoe
Bend. Included is a shot of the shortest railroad tunnel in the world, which
we'll be going through.

The INP runs through the shortest railroad tunnel in the world, according
to local people. I had to stand on a cliff overlooking the Payette River
Canyon to get this shot from Highway 55 August 6.
The tunnel basically just goes through a large rock.
