These were all taken Monday, August 4, 2004 at an abandoned rest stop off Interstate 80, right before you cross the Wyoming-Utah state line. I had almost given up waitng for a train, but then I spotted an eastbound  UP coal train on the upper, high line. Just after I had taken that photo, I got back in the car to leave when I saw an eastbound UP mixed freight in my side mirror on the lower line.  What resulted was a meeting of two UP trains in mountaineous terrain. Talk about luck. The time was about 930 a.m.










From this distance, the trains looked like they were on an HO layout with perfect scenery.
