DELTA SOUTHERN #104
a couple of miles north of Translyvania, Louisiana, January 11, 2004. It
was idle. One of the grain cars was leaning to the right, but still on the
rails. This line was once the route of the Missouri Pacific "Delta
Eagle" back in the 1940s. It is my understanding that the line still runs
from Tallulah, Louisiana to McGehee, Arkansas. Is this correct?
LEFT-Looking southward into greater downtown Transylvania, Louisiana. RIGHT-Looking
north. The water tower of the town had a black bat painted on it.
