| GLOBAL
WARMING SITES I'll try to put various good sites here with information about climate change/global warming. I'm trying to get various viewpoints and research sources for this site and if you have any sites you think would qualify, give me that link. Just email me at the email button at the top of this page. My opinion? The science is not settled on the exact causes of the warming that's going on, but the climate is indeed warming nevertheless, as it has done several times in the past. It has also cooled in the past several times into ice ages. The industrial age, with its pollution and greenhouse gases, certainly makes some contribution to global warming but I'm still not convinced we're causing ALL the warming, like some say. I just have a gut feeling that the Sun has to play some part, as well as other natural causes. No, global warming is not a hoax, but neither is it worth being paranoid about. We'll adjust fine as we learn more and deal with it. (Ken Z - retired meterologist) ![]() |

IPCC clarification: There are too many who think the IPCC does a lot of the scientific work on examining global warming/climate change. They do NOT (from their website): "The IPCC does not carry out research nor does it monitor climate related data or other relevant parameters. It bases its assessment mainly on peer reviewed and published scientific/technical literature.") Check out their website: |

"Despite the small number of ice thickness measurements that are
available, it seems highly likely that the summer loss of ice in 2004
was anomalously small and that the 2004 melting season was unusually
short." Low clouds were present in 2004, unlike the unsually warm
Arctic summer of 2007, when skies were abnormally clear.)
